Georgian Hills Seyval Blanc VQA

Description

An interesting French hybrid grape, Seyval is an early-ripening, green-skinned variety that has found success in Ontario, Quebec and the UK. Showing ripe tropical fruit and lime peel laced with a zippy acidity, this brisk wine will make an excellent pairing for potato-leek soup flanked by a bagel topped with smoked salmon and cream cheese.

Tasting Notes

Clear, very pale lemon with green-tinted highlights; aromas of apple, pear, stone-fruit and citrus; dry with medium acidity and light body; flavours of tree-fruit, citrus, mineral and spice.

Serving Suggestion

Drink while young and fresh, with local cheeses, salads and picnic fare.
