From vines planted in 1980, the 2022 Zeltinger Riesling Kabinett trocken opens with a clear and intense nose that reveals the particular fine and flinty slate tone of the Zeltingen vineyards, which offer ripe and intense, well concentrated but always elegant fruit aromas. Round and complex on the palate, with remarkably fine acidity, this is a medium-bodied, enormously saline and tensioned Kabinett of class and style. It's almost too good (complex) to be true. 11% stated alcohol. Screw cap closure. Tasted at the domaine in November 2023. Drink date: 2023-2047. Score - 94.
