Calmel & Joseph Villa Blanche Chardonnay

Description

Pale straw colour. A little bit of youthful bon-bon aroma coming through, over a mineral citrussy nose. An elegant Chardonnay, with just a smidgen of oak coming through. Quite green, but not vegetal - kiwi fruit perhaps? Very youthful and perhaps a little unformed right now, but there is a sense of clenched fruit at the core and plenty of tension. Tasting Notes

Pale lemon in colour; moderate aromas of citrus, apple, white peach, a touch tropical with melon and floral; extra-dry and medium body; with the same rich flavours detected on the nose; balanced finish and length.

Serving Suggestion

Pair with quinoa or grilled chicken salads.
