Description

Here we have a red blend of Cabernet Franc (42%) with Merlot (33), Cabernet Sauvignon (20) and 5% Syrah. This version of Cadence is far more immediate consumption than the more robust and age-worthy 2010 version ... say 3-4 years for the 2011 ... but still with great aromas and supple flavours. Red currants, tobacco and white pepper aromas lead to a palate of raspberry/cherry; hints of smoke, pepper and a meaty quality carry through to the finish - very drinkable and approachable.
