From Niellucciu with 10% Grenache ... forwardly-fruity, a feature no doubt accentuated by the wine's being bottled after less than a year. Cherry and plum are strongly marked by their pits, as well as laced with rosemary and juniper berry, salt, iodine, and crushed stone. The complementary contrast of bitter elements with vividly sappy dark berry concentrate is quite striking, and there is enough dominance of primary fruit juiciness not to mention a mouthwatering salinity to leave one anxious to take the next sip.
