Description

Merlot 48%, Cabernet Sauvignon 33%, Petit Verdot 10%, Cabernet Franc 6%, Malbec 3%. Production 3,000 cases. The wine begins with aromas of cassis and spice, leading to flavours of black currant, mulberry, espresso and dark chocolate. The tannins are polished but firm. Tasting Notes

From vines planted in 1998 in partnership with (now owned by) the Merlaut family of Gruaud-Larose. 50% Merlot, 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, 13% Petit Verdot, 9% Cabernet Franc, 4% Malbec - a success! Drink 2016-2024. Score - 94. (Steven Spurrier, Decanter, Aug. 2016)
