This blend is 50% grenache, 45% carignan, and the rest is mourvèdre, all from the granitic soils of Las Veletas, in Alquihue, in the heart of the Maule Valley's dry-farmed secano. The granite has a very clear effect on the texture of the tannins here, which are sharp and piercing, while the flavors are of red fruits and flowers and the carignan imposes its acidity.
