Description

The barrel ageing here was handled brilliantly. There are Bourbon aromatics and some sweet oak, but these complement and do not overpower the rich cassis and mixed dark berry fruit. There's a nice hint of vanilla as well, adding depth. A composed, well-made example of this trend. Pair with steak. (Vintages Panel,Nov. 2019)
