Description

This is a bright, fairly youthful Champagne with a certain sense of precision. I really like the complex yet focused nose of light b rioche/toast, hazelnut, lemon and green apple. It is light to mid-weight with brisk, tart acidity, some foaminess to the mousse and perhaps a hint of sweetness. Lemony and nutty on the finish. The length is excellent. Tasted January 2018. Ripe and juicy apple, blackberry and pear notes are framed by mouthwatering acidity in this finely meshed version, while the lacy texture and accents of spring blossom and ground cardamom focus the finish. Drink now through 2019. Score - 91. (Alison Napjus, winespectator.com, March 31, 2014)
