Writers' Tears Limited Cask Strength Irish Whiskey

Description

A blend of aged Single Pot Still and aged Single Malt Irish whiskeys matured on American oak casks and bottled at cask strength. Notes of butterscotch, ginger and pepper mingle with the flavours of toasted oak, dark chocolate and sweet vanilla, finishing with a bold and complex character. Serve neat or on the rocks.

Tasting Notes

The Walsh Distillery has a 'field to bottle'philosophy, using only the finest Irish barley malt as the primary ingredient in their whiskies. Writer's Tear's Cask Strength is a whiskey to be savoured, showing a smooth, creamy mouthfeel and notes of butterscotch, ginger and dried hay.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with a traditional fruitcake to round out a meal, or during dinner itself, try with potato leek soup or Irish potato pancakes (boxty).
