Powers Gold Irish Whiskey

Description

Powers Gold is an elegant whiskey made from the heart of the distillate and allowed to age in second and third fill Bourbon barrels. Its aromas are spice-forward, with notes of cinnamon, clove and white pepper at the fore. The palate brings flavours of apple, vanilla and caramel, complemented by a cinnamon spice note.

Tasting Notes

Left to mature in selected American oak where it develops a spicy/rounded flavour. Bright amber/gold; aromas of baking spices, vanilla, toasted oak and citrus, with notes of pepper and sweet grain; light honey and cereal on the palate, with a pleasing warmth followed by toffee, spice, tree fruit and ginger notes.

Serving Suggestion

Enjoy neat, with a cube of ice or a splash of water to unlock the aromas and flavours. Serve with a slice of traditional fruitcake, or create an exceptional Irish coffee.
