Description

Bright medium straw colour. Intense, expansive, spicy, ripe, sweet, fairly grassy, ripe melon-pear puree nose with some honeyed, beeswax notes. Intense, medium bodied, harmonious, faintly sweet, grassy, dried ripe pear flavours with a lingering, spicy, honeyed finish. Has 40% alcohol with lot number L2015 on the back label. Tasting Notes

A previous bottling of this unique spirit - which is distilled from grape skins of one of Italy's most revered wines, Sassicaia - was described by Gord Stimmell as the best grappa he'd ever tasted. Look for aromas of jasmine, honey and clover, and a gently spicy character on the palate. It's a must-have for serious grappa fans and collectors of Sassicaia.
