Description

This tasty brown ale from Guelph's Royal City Brewing is charmingly unique. Brewed with a small amount of smoked malt and an inclusion of Ontario honey before fermentation, this brew offers layer upon layer of complex flavours. Savour it on its own, or enjoy with grilled meats, charcuterie or aged cheeses.

Tasting Notes

A cross between an English Brown Ale and German Smoked Lager this ale pours a dark brown and slightly hazy with a thin head. The nose offers aromas of coffee, caramel, and toasted nuts; the palate is full with average carbonation and malty/herbal flavours followed by a medium length and nutty finish.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with spicy stews or enjoy on its own.
