Description

Dan and Margaret Duckhorn established Decoy as a second label in 1985. This vintage, from winemaker Tyson Wolf, is sourced from Green Valley, Russian River Valley and Petaluma Gap, the wine aged 10 months in 40% new French oak. Immediately evident is the Russian River fruit, with its classic cherry-cola nose, a touch of woodsmoke and forest floor. It's sappy on the palate, with firm, sinewy tannins and defined flavours of strawberry and candied cherry, and undertones of rich chocolate and mint. Drinking window: 2021-2025.
