From a 50-year-old vineyard in the Guaymallén zone, this bonarda has a delicious tannic texture that offers support, helping the wine grip the palate, which is quite the feat for a variety known for its smooth tannins. The rest is a burst of fruit juice with intense ripeness as well as intense acidity, which is also out of the ordinary. A refreshing bonarda, for roast pork. Score - 91. Tasting Notes

Awarded 88 points in the 2018 Argentina Special Report by Tim Atkin, MW. This alluringly earthy Bonarda shows ripe berry fruit and chocolaty notes. It'll go nicely with mildly spiced bean burritos, or chicken thighs in a 'mole rosa' sauce.
