The 2017 Mercurey 1er Cru Clos du Roi is introduced by a sweet bouquet of cherries, raspberries, spices and baking chocolate, gently framed by new oak. It's a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and gourmand wine with an ample, succulent mid-palate and fine-grained tannins that only assert themselves on the expansive finish. Drink date: 2020-2033.
