Description

This 100% estate grown hand harvested sparkler was aged an incredible 6 1/2 years on its lees, being disgorged August 2018. It is not showing much colour maturation, still quite lemony. But on the nose it is more mature, very complex and intense. Loads of toast, light hazelnut, hay and some vague mushroom, with dried apple fruit in the background. It is light to midweight, firm yet delicate with same great flavour intensity on the palate. Very racy and grippy with outstanding length. Score - 95. (David Lawrason, winealign.com, May 6, 2020)
