Description

Granite Hill is a new project from the Kautz family, the people behind the ever-popular Ironstone. This is a ripe, complex Zinfandel that includes some splashes of Merlot and Petite Sirah. There is good structure and balance throughout, with a fine food-friendly acidity and plenty of strawberry, cherry, toast, vanilla and some bacon. Great price-to-quality ratio. This will be ideal with burgers or steak. (Vintages panel, Jan. 2019)
