The 2015 Tinto Maria de Lourdes, scheduled for release shortly after this article appears, is a 70/30 blend of Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca, aged for 24 months in second use French oak. It comes in at 14% alcohol. Sexy, vivid and intense with fruit flavor, this is gorgeous. It's a wine that many will swoon for. The tannins are ripe, but there are some and they provide support for the wine. It has a fresh, elegant and lively feel too. This is beautiful. The only question is whether it turns into anything more - which it has to do to justify its rating or a better one. It is rather approachable now. However, let's start here and see where we go.
