The 2012 vintage was another good year for Torgiano, with the Rubesco Vigna Monticchio taking a gold. Fragrances of red fruit, pencil led, aromatic resin and spices characterize the wine, with a touch of tobacco that foreshadows a close-knit, long palate that never wavers. Crossed by an acidic vigor that is fundamental in such complex and structured wines, it gets a Tre Bicchieri. Score - 3 Glasses (out of 3). (Gambero Rosso Italian Wines, 2018)
