Description

From vineyards planted in Peumo in 1998, one of Chile's most classic areas for carmenere, this is charming in its notes of chocolate, which shoot through the palate accompanied by flavors of tart black fruits. The texture is smooth and silky, with no rough edges. The warmth of the year is perceived in the warmth of the alcohol, but there's enough acidity to balance it out. This is a commercial wine in the best sense of the definition-it doesn't abuse over-ripeness, sweetness, or oak. Score - 93. (Patricio Tapia, guiadescorchados.cl, 2021)
