The Athene (a-THEE-nee) takes its name from the burrowing owl, a.k.a., Athene cunicularia. Hand-harvested and sourced from the Black Sage Bench, it's a co-fermented blend of Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. It strides the line between power and elegance with easy grace, showing generous ripe black fruit, tobacco, oak spice, pepper and woodsmoke. Poised, balanced and appealing. Drink through 2024+.
