Great Lakes Brewery Winter Ale

Description

Clear, medium amber colour with moderate head; on the nose there is a medley of baking spices, such as ginger, cinnamon and clove, along with orange peel, rye bread, malt and nut; sweet, soft and rounded on the palate, flavours of cinnamon, gingersnaps, caramel and licorice, with a long, lightly malty but balanced finish.

Pair this with cured or spiced meat dishes, including tourtiere; also ideal with gingersnaps, Christmas cake or molasses cookies.
