Description

An incredible white-blend from one of the most exciting wine producers in South Africa at the moment. Made in the Swartland where David Sadie, one half of winemaking duo and married couple, David & Nadia was born and bred, the wine is made as naturally as possible with biodynamic farming techniques employed in the vineyard and minimal intervention in the winery. The Aristargos is one of their four 'core' organic, old-vine, dry land bush vine wines and in 2017 is a blend of six different varieties with a small percentage of Marsanne used for the first time. The mix comprises 58% Chenin Blanc, 14% Viognier, 13% Viognier, 7% Sémillon, 5% Roussanne and 3% Marsanne from 14 different vineyards. Grapes were whole brunch pressed with Sémillon kept on its skins for a few days before being matured.
