Description

Wines labelled Bordeaux Supérieur can be grown anywhere in Bordeaux and must be aged at least nine months. Les Palues ('the pests') by Château Plaisance ('pleasure castle') is picked by hand and spends 18 months in new oak, bringing spicy licorice and vanilla notes to a core of cherry, raspberry and blackcurrant. Expect the wine to show best through 2025 with rack of lamb and braised fennel.
