Description

Planted in 1945 in the Almahue zone, this vineyard is probably one of the oldest of the variety in Chile - a true heritage vineyard. Winemaker Felipe Uribe isn't afraid of the herbal notes that come from harvesting early to obtain more freshness from the carménère. It was also a rather cool vintage that resulted in a refreshing and very juicy wine with delicious depth, herbal aromas all around, and earthy notes. Part of The Best Cachapoals of the Year and the Best of Chilean Carmeneres of the Year. Score - 94. (guiadescorchados.cl, 2018)
