Tedeschi has been a power in Venetian winemaking since 1630. This blend of roughly equal parts Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella with the balance comprising Rossignola, Oseleta, Negrara and Dindarella was sourced from moraine clay and limestone soils. Crafted in the traditional ripasso style, which 'repasses' the Valpolicella over used Amarone skins to impart greater colour, flavour and body, it will be a ripe, round and velvety-textured wine. This will be fantastic with grilled meats or meat-based pasta dishes.
Tasting Note: This wine has a long lasting finish, made from an ancient vinicultural technique called 'ripasso'. A part of the previous year's Valpolicella wine is combined with the Amarone skins and left to macerate until racking in March. All of the grapes come from vineyards located on the morainic hills of the Valpolicella. An extremely aromatic red, very sapid and flavorsome. Suitable to various types of food pairings.
