Michael Godel of winealign.com tasted this wine in June of 2016 and suggested a drinking window that extends to 2018.
Tasting Note: This sports a surprisingly uplifted, fragrant nose with classic gamay dried rose petal, cherry/strawberry jam fruit and the grape's particular earthy/peppery character. Nicely complex. It's light to mid-weight, with fresh, well integrated tartish acidity, soft tannin and some heat, but it's the flavour concentration on the palate that continues to surprise and impress. The finish is a touch peppery and dusty; the length is very good to excellent. Score - 90. (David Lawrason, winealign.com, Dec 17, 2015)
