Tasting Note: They call it Shiraz, but they might just as well call it Syrah, because they're expertly using the Rhône playbook here. Deep ruby colour with aromas of blackberry, cigar leaf, woodsmoke, undergrowth and black pepper. Dry, youthful fruit with a hint of cedar. Tannins are still pretty firm, suggesting 2-3 years of cellar potential. Perfect partner for grilled steaks with pan-fried mushrooms.
