The brand is fermented as a true ale using a special ale yeast, a strain in use at Labatt since 1933. Specially-selected North American ale hop varieties give the brand the distinguishing features of a true ale, a good balance of dryness and fruity taste.
Tasting Note: Originally launched in 1950 commemorating 50 years of partnership between John and Hugh Labatt, it was the first light-tasting ale sold in Canada. It has aromas and flavours of cereal grains, light hops, and pear. Medium-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and a refreshingly crisp finish, this ale is perfect for barbecued fare.
Serving Suggestion: A refreshingly crisp ale. Perfect for the patio or for warm weather entertaining. Serve with salty snacks or with barbecued fare.
