Tasting Note: A name like The Impostor might suggest to you that this wine isn't what it appears to be, when in fact it delivers exactly what you'd expect from the blend. It presents immediately as a blend of Zinfandel and Syrah, with aromas of black fruit, pepper and tar up front and a floral top note. It's dry and deep on the palate, with nice aroma to flavor delivery, and a long finish with moderate grip and nice oak spice. This is ready for a bold red meat dish. I liked the 2012 bottling, and this is a step up. A Platinum Award winner at the 2015 Winemaker Challenge International Wine Competition. Score - 94. (Rich Cook, winereviewonline.com, March 24, 2015)
