Tasting Note: The region has long been known for the cork it produces, but the wines of Extremadura - like many of Spain's emerging regions - are beginning to attract more and more international attention. This example is a wonderful blend of Tempranillo and Cabernet that offers a nose of complex strawberry, raspberry, herbs and violets. Full and long in the mouth with great density, and plenty of juicy, ripe dark fruit that lends a certain sweetness to the palate. Super food-friendly, this will be great with ribs or pork chops.
