Tasting Note: Consistent, stylish, peppery. This Syrah, Grenache, Carignan and Mourvedre blend is a consistently solid buy. Typical Southern Rhone value, it offers notes of summer briary berries, peppery spices, dried flowers, vanilla, leather and garrigue. The palate is smooth and it has very good fruit expression. Flavours of mocha, licorice, vanilla and pepper linger. It is a stylish wine with good balance and freshness. Pair: game meats, aged goat cheeses, roasted eggplant dishes, foraged mushroom pizza. Score - 90. (Daenna Van Mulligen, winescores.ca, July 13, 2015)
