Tasting Note: A tribute to the classic Saison brewed by farmers in the Belgian region of Hainaut (part of Wallonia) during the late winter and spring for summer consumption. Often the result of wild fermentation, where the brettanomyces yeast gives a rustic and vinous character to the beer. Vieille Ville has been fermented using a specific strain of brettanomyces and aged in the bottle for 10 months before sold. Pale yellow colour, lively and crisp with a fresh sparkling carbonation. Spicy and slightly tart with dry and acidic finish from the Brett. Shelf life is three years.
