Tasting Note: This is the second wine from Château Beau-Site. The name Haut-Vignoble, or 'high vineyard,' is a nod to the fact that the vineyard is situated on one of the highest hill sites in the Médoc. This site is known to produce wines of particular freshness and structure. This 2012 offers impressive, forward blackberry tones with earth, vanilla, dark chocolate, wood spice and minty notions in support. Beautifully balanced and structured with a supple feel on the palate. Enjoy with rack of lamb. (Vintages panel, Sept. 2016)
