Tasting Note: Barbera d'Asti is one of the most important wines of Piedmont, and its great popularity is in some part due to the fact that Barbera is more approachable young than Piedmont's Nebbiolo-based Barolo and Barbaresco wines. This one offers impressive aromatics with spicy, mature fruits, plus the bright acidity that plays such a role in Barbera d'Asti's ageability. Try this with grilled burgers and mushrooms.
