Tasting Note: Campo de Borja has been recognized for wine production since around 1145. Garnacha is king here, but Tempranillo, Mazuela, Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah and the whites Macabeo, Chardonnay and Moscatel are also grown here. This is a food-friendly, ripe and fruity blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Merlot and 20% Tempranillo that is juicy with lots of fruit and a perfectly pitched touch of earthiness. Smooth and delicious. Enjoy with roast meats or a lamb stew. (Vintages panel, April 2016)
