Tasting Note: An enjoyable and nicely structured red, Aska is a Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc blend that comes from the coastal region of Bolgheri. Distinctive and dry on the palate, this offers an attractive core of ripe fruit and polished tannins that gains interest from spice and tobacco notes that carry through on the lingering finish. The name, Aska, is Estrucan for container, referring to the barrel aging this stylish red wine underwent for 10 months prior to bottle aging before release. It's drinking nicely now and promises to mature gracefully over the next three to five years. Score - 4 Stars (out of 5). (Christopher Waters, Vines, 2017)
