Tasting Note: The excellent 2011 Alidis 6 Mesas Barrica comes from biodynamically cultivated vines and as the title suggests, it is raised for six months in new and used oak. It has a well-defined blackberry and briary bouquet with hints of espresso in the background, the oak playing a welcome supporting role. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and good structure. This is well-balanced, fresh with good acidity and a focused finish of red currant and cranberry fruit with hints of mocha and dark chocolate playing in the background. This is delightful. Drink now-2016. Score - 91. (Neal Martin, robertparker.com, Feb. 2013)
